My mom has been recovering well from her gastric bypass surgery. She is now almost 4 months post-op and has lost about 75 lbs. We are crossing our fingers that she can now get her hip replacment surgery soon. She has been using the assistance of a walker to move around. We go to see her orthopedic doctor on Monday.

Mama Parks looks so GREAT!!! Would love to know if she was able to get the surgery covered by insurance...I hope her surgery goes well. Please give her a hug and tell her we are SO excited for her and we love her :)
Yes her insurance covered the cost of the procedure deeming it medically necessary. AMA determined a BMI of 40 and greater to be elgible ( which is about 100 lbs overweight)
